Oticon More
Oticon launches the More platform. These are the world’s first hearing aids that work like a mimic of the brain, giving it a complete view of the auditory spectrum thanks to this innovative technology.
Within the platform we find BTE models with disposable batteries or rechargeable, and RITE models also with disposable batteries or rechargeable, covering all types of hearing loss. For each model, you can choose between three technology levels.
Oticon More Hearing Aid Models
The rechargeable BTE is small in size and has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, along with an induction coil and a simple push-button.
The battery-powered BTE is also small in size and features an LED light for simple handling. It also has an induction coil, a simple push-button, and runs on a disposable zinc-air battery.
Both can be fitted with either an earhook and earmould or a thin tube and dome. They’re also compatible with Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA), letting them stream directly from iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices, just like the Bernafon Alpha.

Oticon More RITE Features
As for the RITE models, both the rechargeable and disposable-battery versions have a discreet design. The rechargeable versions have a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Both models feature an induction coil and a double push-button, and offer direct streaming from selected Apple and Android devices.

All four models, both the BTE and the RITE, come in a wide range of colours: Silver Grey, Silver, Chroma Beige, Terracotta, Chestnut Brown, Steel Grey, Diamond Black and Hear Pink.

Oticon More Technology
The standout technological advances of the Oticon More family include the following:
- Deep Neural Network: mimics the way the brain works, trained on 12 million real-life sound scenes. It recognises all types of sounds, the details that surround them, and how they should ideally sound. A unique technology that works in real time day to day, distinguishing sounds in different listening environments and supporting the brain in an unbeatable way.
- Spherical microphone: a microphone built from several advanced individual microphones, evenly distributed across a sphere. The output from each one is combined using advanced signal processing, capturing a specific sound scene and allowing the hearing aid to process it with unmatched precision and quality.
- More Sound Intelligence: analyses the entire sound scene 500 times per second, capturing and optimising sounds, including the most complex ones in the environment. Individual sounds stand out in contrast to one another, and the user’s listening preferences are applied to set a clear goal for how different sounds or sound scenes are managed. Once it scans and analyses the sound scene, it processes it and enhances the contrast, precisely organising the sounds around the user. It also uses the Neural Network, trained on everyday reality, to process and contrast the identified sounds, resulting in a more natural representation of all sounds.
- More Sound Amplifier: provides balanced, precise amplification of all sounds — a pioneering technology that ensures important, dynamic details are audible and can be heard by people with hearing loss. It works by applying a dynamic, balanced amplification system, seamlessly adapting its resolution and speed to how the specific scene is naturally reproduced. This system makes the entire sound scene audible while maintaining perfect contrast and balance between all sounds, using an adaptive speed pilot and six times more resolution. All of this helps give the brain all the important information it needs to interpret sounds.
- Polaris Platform: a platform designed specifically for hearing aids, enabling the trained Deep Neural Network to run while also powering all the technological advances of the More family.
Oticon More Accessories
Notable accessories include desktop chargers for both models, in addition to the standard chargers.
- SmartCharger. Comes with a portable battery, making it easy to charge the hearing aids anywhere, or while connected to a power source. It has a protective lid to keep the hearing aids safe, and automatically dries any moisture that has built up inside.
- Desktop charger. Besides its discreet, elegant design, it’s also very easy to use.

Oticon More Conclusions
Oticon offers a wide range of hearing aids in its Oticon More family, which is great, since we can always select the latest technology regardless of the type of hearing loss.
The colour range to choose from is also wide, with options for the more adventurous too.
Lastly, they feature innovative technology that works in a way similar to the brain, helping improve hearing quality by recognising each sound in the different environments the patient moves through. This will undoubtedly improve the everyday life of patients who choose one of these models. We also see this technology in other hearing aids from the group, such as the Bernafon Alpha brand, which offers similar options, possibly at a more affordable price.
