Phonak, a company specialising in the latest hearing aid technology, has recently launched the Phonak Audéo Paradise hearing aid model. This new device comes with a range of features and improvements over its predecessor, the Phonak Audéo Marvel, that are worth analysing to understand its advantages.
Main Features of the Phonak Audéo Paradise
What stands out most about this hearing aid is that it’s been built with completely renewed hardware, featuring a new sound-processing chip and a motion sensor. This brings a range of improvements over other Phonak hearing aids, delivering a more complete listening experience. Among them, greater hearing performance stands out, achieved thanks to the combination of these elements:

More Natural Sound
Sound comes through more naturally, with barely any noise, and cleaner. To achieve this, it uses a system similar to how hearing works in humans — from the point sound reaches the cochlea through to the brain.
To achieve this, Phonak has updated the Paradise’s software compared to the Marvel in three ways:
- By improving adaptive compression speed, they’ve achieved greater comfort in noise and with impact noises.
- By improving high-level gain for more natural sound and greater flexibility when fitting at the hearing centre.
- A new calculation for mild and moderate hearing loss, which reduces the time it takes for the patient to adapt to the hearing aid and provides greater comfort during the early stages of the fitting.
Speech Enhancer
In conversations spoken softly or quietly, the speech enhancer system boosts their intensity, improving overall understanding.

In real time, the hearing aid detects sounds coming from soft voices and boosts them by up to an additional 10dB. This is a huge advantage, since according to the latest EuroTrak study, one of patients’ main complaints is understanding voices in noisy environments.
Dynamic Noise Cancellation
Features a dynamic noise cancellation system for better hearing in noisy environments. It works in real time and is controlled via the myPhonak app. Once activated, it filters out noise to make hearing easier.
This system can be personalised to the user’s liking.

Motion Sensor
Earlier this year, we saw the Signia X become the first hearing aid to feature this technology, and now Phonak has also added a motion sensor, giving it more information about the listening situation the user is experiencing, allowing it to adapt hearing performance more effectively.
Manage Your Calls From Your Hearing Aid With Just a Tap on Your Ear
The Phonak Audéo Paradise’s built-in motion sensor doesn’t just improve hearing — it also lets you perform several actions with just a tap on your ear: answer a phone call, activate voice assistants, start or stop streaming music, and more. In other words, thanks to the built-in microphone, you can make a hands-free call and launch your voice assistant.
Connectivity
Phonak offers the widest Bluetooth connectivity on the market, and just like the Phonak Marvel, this hearing aid is also compatible with all Bluetooth devices, both phones and computers.
With the new Phonak hearing aids, users can take hands-free phone calls while connecting to popular voice assistants like Apple Siri®, Google Assistant™ or Amazon Alexa®, with nothing more than a double tap on the ear.
Compared to the previous version, connectivity has been improved with the addition of low-energy Bluetooth for connecting to the app, and the number of devices you can pair via classic Bluetooth has increased, letting you connect up to two phones simultaneously and up to eight devices paired at the same time.
myPhonak App: The App for Managing Your Phonak Hearing Aid
Phonak has updated its mobile app to version 4. This version lets you adjust programmes, volume and devices, as with the previous version, but also lets you control more advanced Phonak Paradise settings, such as noise cancellation and the speech enhancer.
This software lets each user configure their hearing aid to their liking, building on the initial settings your hearing care professional has already set up.
The app is compatible with both Android and Apple phones, and can be downloaded directly from your device.

Phonak Audéo Paradise vs Phonak Audéo Marvel
The Phonak Audéo Paradise features the latest-generation Sonova PRISM™ (Processing Real-time Intelligent Sound Management) sound-processing chip. This technology brings the following:
- More powerful processing.
- Twice the memory compared to the Audéo Marvel.
It also uses AutoSense OS™ 4.0, the latest version of Phonak hearing aids’ automatic operating system. The previous model, the Audéo Marvel, used AutoSense OS™ 3.0.
One of the advances with AutoSense OS is that manual adjustments are no longer needed — it can detect, adjust and automatically adapt to a wide range of listening environments in stereo. As we’ve already seen, with just a tap on the ear, you can take hands-free calls while also connecting to voice assistants.
The hearing aid’s housing has also been redesigned with a more modern style, and the button has been made slimmer.

Conclusions on the Phonak Audéo
Phonak has done a great job with this hearing aid, managing to build on the technology already found in the Phonak Marvel, which had already delivered good results.
The only drawback we’d note is that to make the most of the new features, you need to go for the higher technology tiers, although sound quality is already very good starting from the Essential P30 tier.
It’s certainly one of the options worth considering compared to other brands on the market, such as the Signia X, launched earlier this year, or the Resound One, presented this month.
